Freshman Christopher Kipchirchir scored two points for the men in the 800 meters.

GREENCASTLE, Ind. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men’s and women’s indoor track & field teams competed at the DePauw (Ind.) University Classic over the weekend at the James A. Hollensteiner Track.

The Lindsey Wilson teams matched 21st place finishes and each scored two points in the 19-event meet.

Lindsey Wilson freshman Christopher Kipchirchir scored the men’s two points with a seventh place finish in the 800 meter run. Kipchirchir finished with a time of 2:00.50.

NEW YORK -- Lindsey Wilson College sophomore Amanda Johnson set a school record on Friday at the 101st Millrose Games at Madison Square Garden.

The Morganfield, Ky., native finished eighth with a time of eight minutes and 3.06 seconds in the mile Race Walk.

Walk USA’s Teresa Vaill won the 12-woman event with a time of 7:10.99.

FINDLAY, Ohio -- Lindsey Wilson College sophomore Amanda Johnson and freshman Megan Furnish competed at the Findlay Indoor Track and Field Classic on Friday at the Malcolm Athletic Center.

The pair competed in the women’s 3,000 meter Race Walk.

Johnson finished second in the 10-woman field with a time of 15:50.70. The Morganfield, Ky., native’s time shatters her previous school record, set last week at Cedarville University, by 15 seconds.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio -- The Lindsey Wilson College women’s indoor track and field team finished fourth at the Cedarville (Ohio) University Collegiate Indoor Invitational on Friday at Doden Field House.

The Blue Raiders scored 49 team points to finish fourth in the 11-team event.

Lindsey Wilson senior Marie Coyon and junior Kristina Wimsatt each recorded wins to gain 10 points toward the team-total.

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College cross country and track & field coach Edwin Hagans and sophomore Amanda Johnson were honored on Saturday night at the Kentucky Track and Cross Country Coaches Association-United States of America Track and Field Awards.

Hagans was selected as Kentucky Small College Women’s College Coach of the Year, while Johnson was named Kentucky Female Race Walker of the Year.
