COLUMBIA, Ky. - After a fall season that saw three first place victories the Lindsey Wilson College women's golf team received a top five ranking in the latest NAIA National Coaches' Poll released on Tuesday.

Bethel (Ind.) College claimed the top spot with 367 points. There was a tie for second as Embry-Riddle (Fla.) University and California Baptist both collected 353 points.

ROME, Ga. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's golf team closed its fall season today by winning the Chick-fil-A Invitational hosted by Berry College at Coosa Country Club.

The Blue Raiders shot a team total 622 (310-312) to win by eight strokes over second place Birmingham Southern (Ala.) College (320-310). Host Berry (Ga.) College finished third with a two-day total 650 (316-334).

Lindsey Wilson junior Krista Burton captured her fourth individual title of the fall and her program-best 13th title of her career with a 147 (73-74) over the par 72, 6,011 yard Coosa layout.

ROME, Ga. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's golf team leads the Chick-fil-A Invitational hosted by Berry (Ga.) College at the midway point after today's first round at the Coosa Country Club.

The Blue Raiders shot a team-total 310 to lead host Berry by six strokes. Birmingham Southern (Ala.) University is third following a first round 320 over the par 72, 6,011 yards.

Lindsey Wilson junior Krista Burton leads the tournament by two strokes after her opening round 73. Junior Jessica Smith is tied for third following her 77.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's golf team struggled today and dropped a spot to finish in second place at the Trevecca Nazarene University Fall Invitational played at Ravenwood Country Club.

The Blue Raiders shot a season-high 332 on Tuesday to finish with a two-day total of 655 (323-332). Bethel (Ind.) College won the two-day event with a team total of 649 (325-324). University of Mobile (Ala.) finished third with a 683 (335-348).

Lindsey Wilson junior Krista Burton led the Blue Raiders with a two-day total of 155 (76-79) over the par 72, 5,843 yard course.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Despite early struggles, the Lindsey Wilson College women's golf leads at the halfway point of the Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) University Fall Invitational at Ravenwood Country Club.

The Blue Raiders shot a team total of 323 to lead Bethel (Ind.) College by two strokes after today's opening round. University of Mobile (Ala.) is third following a 335.

The round began rather ominously as the Blue Raider quintet carded a combined nine double and triple bogeys in the first six holes. But the Lindsey Wilson five rebounded in the middle portion of the round combining eight birdies.
