BEREA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson College men's cross country team was led by sophomore David Mutuse's first place finish and scored 34 points to finish second in the Mid-South Conference Championships today in Berea, Ky.

Mutuse was the top individual finisher with a time of 25:59. The first place finish is the fifth of his career.

However with the Blue Raiders finishing second as a team they did not qualify for the NAIA National Tournament.

ROME, Ga. - The Lindsey Wilson College men's cross country team finished fifth overall at the 2008 Southeast XC Classic in Rome, Ga. on Saturday.

Lindsey Wilson sophomore David Mutuse was the winner of the event with a time of 25 minutes and 22 seconds. The first place finish was Mutuse's fourth career victory.

Sophomore Christopher Kipchirchir placed ninth giving Lindsey Wilson two top 10 finishers. Kipchirchir ran the 8,000 meter course in a time of 26:57 and received eight points helping Lindsey Wilson record 175 as a team.

WILMINGTON, Ohio -- For the second straight season, Lindsey Wilson's David Mutuse captured the Wilmington (Ohio) College Fall Cross Country Classic individual title.

Mutuse crossed the finish line with a time of 24 minutes and 46 seconds -- 25 seconds better than last year's time -- to win by 13 seconds over runner-up Makorobo Salukombo of Denison (Ohio) College.

Mutuse helped the Blue Raiders to a fifth place finish today in the 23-team field.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's cross country team competed at the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic on Saturday at E. P. Tom Sawyer State Park.

The Blue Raiders scored 276 points to finish 11th in the 25-team field in the Blue Division of the event. University of Findlay (Ohio) won the event with 56 points.

Lindsey Wilson sophomore Christopher Kipchirchir led the Blue Raiders with a 12th place finish in the 272-man field. Kipchirchir ran the 8,000 meters in 26 minutes and 7.62 seconds.
