COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Six Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer players received national honors over the weekend as the NAIA announced their 2008 Women's Soccer All-Americans.
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer team's season ended tonight with a 3-0 loss to Concordia (Ore.) University in the NAIA National Tournament semifinals at Embry-Riddle Soccer Field.
The Blue Raiders close their season with a 21-2 record. Concordia faces the winner of No. 3-seed Lee (Tenn.) University and No. 10-seed Trinity Christian (Ill.) College at 6 p.m. CT on Saturday, Dec. 6 for the NAIA National Championship.
No. 5-seed Concordia used relentless pressure throughout the match to earn its second trip to the national finals. The Cavaliers (23-0-1) finished the match out-shooting the top-seeded Blue Raiders 16-5, including 6-1 in shots on goal.
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Lindsey Wilson College sophomore forward Kimmia Parker's penalty kick goal in the 78th minute proved to be the game winner as the Blue Raiders defeated Graceland (Iowa) University 1-0 today in the NAIA National Tournament at Embry-Riddle Soccer Stadium.
The top-seeded Blue Raiders face No. 5-seed Concordia (Ore.) University at 4 p.m. CT on Friday, Dec. 5 in the first national semifinal. Concordia upset No. 4-seed Azusa Pacific (Calif.) University 2-1 in overtime in another quarterfinal match earlier today.
Lindsey Wilson (21-1) finished the match out-shooting the Yellowjackets 8-4 but it was Parker's PK that proved to be the decisive goal.

The Blue Raiders advance to the national quarterfinals at 3:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Dec. 3 against the winner of Tuesday's game between No. 8-seed Graceland (Iowa) University and No. 9-seed Northwood (Fla.) University.
Top-seeded Lindsey Wilson (20-1) out-shot the No. 16-seeded Bearcats 13-0 for the game as the Blue Raiders kept possession for much of the match.

The Blue Raider women open the second round of the women's tournament at 10 a.m. CT at Embry-Riddle University Soccer Field in Daytona Beach against McKendree (Ill.) University.
Lindsey Wilson advanced to the second round with a 1-0 win over Siena Heights (Mich.) University on Nov. 22 at Walter S. Reuling Stadium. The opening round was played at 15 on-campus sites around the NAIA.
