KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Lindsey Wilson College cycling team finished on the podium today at the 2008 USA Cycling Collegiate Cyclo-cross National Championship.

The Blue Raiders finished third in the Division I Team Omnium with 128 points. The Lindsey Wilson men and women each scored 64 points to secure the third place finish.

Lees-McRae (N.C.) College and Fort Lewis (Col.) College finished ahead of the Blue Raiders with 177 points each.

COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson College cycling team hosted the Midwest Conference Regional Cyclocross Championships on Saturday and Sunday.

The Blue Raiders dominated the field en route to securing the No. 1-ranking in the Midwest heading into the National Championships.

Freshmen Clayton Omer and Danny Estevez finished first and second respectively in the Men's A Race. Lindsey Wilson dominated the event and captured nine of the top 11 spots.

COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson College cycling team traveled to Purdue University and then to Chicago, Ill. for the final regular season races of the Collegiate Cyclocross last weekend.

The first event was at Purdue (Ind.) University on Saturday.

The Men's B Cyclocross Race saw a trio of Lindsey Wilson cycler's finish in the top five. Freshmen Danny Estevez and Clayton Omer finished second and third while Junior Kip Spaude came in fifth. The race was Estevez's first collegiate race.

BANNER ELK, N.C. - The Lindsey Wilson College cycling team finished fourth over the weekend at the 2008 USA Cycling Collegiate Mountain Bike National Championship.

The Blue Raiders tallied 371 points as a team over the three day event en route to finishing on the podium.

"To finish fourth in the nation is very gratifying, it is something this team and this college can be very proud of," Lindsey Wilson cycling coach David Grigsby said.

BANNER ELK, N.C. -- Lindsey Wilson College junior cyclist Weston Pope won the Dual Slalom national championship on Sunday at the USA Cycling Collegiate Mountain Bike National Championship.

Pope captures the title after finishing runner-up last season.

"Weston Pope was nothing short of amazing," Grigsby said. "He never let his concentration slip. Finishing in first place against these elite riders is a tremendous accomplishment."
