COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Three Lindsey Wilson College men's soccer players earned national honors as the NAIA released the 2008 All-American teams over the weekend.
Lindsey Wilson freshman forward Moses Aduny was named a First Team All-American, while sophomore midfielder Frederick Were and freshman defender Mikael Lunneryd were named Second Team All-Americans.
Aduny, a Kampa, Uganda, native, had a team high 16 goals and 38 points this season. Aduny was second on the team with six assists. In addition to the national honor, Aduny is the Mid-South Conference Men's Soccer co-Player of the Year.
FRESNO, Calif. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's soccer team's season ended today with a 1-0 loss to Mount Vernon Nazarene (Ohio) University in the NAIA National Tournament second round at Ramirez Field on Fresno Pacific University's campus.
Despite outshooting the Cougars 29-6 for the match, the No. 3-seeded Blue Raiders were unable to score against MVNU goalkeeper Alex Stout. Stout finished with nine saves en route to the shutout win.
Lindsey Wilson's season ends with an 18-2-1 record.

The Blue Raider women open the second round of the women's tournament at 10 a.m. CT at Embry-Riddle University Soccer Field in Daytona Beach against McKendree (Ill.) University.
Lindsey Wilson advanced to the second round with a 1-0 win over Siena Heights (Mich.) University on Nov. 22 at Walter S. Reuling Stadium. The opening round was played at 15 on-campus sites around the NAIA.

The Blue Raiders (18-1-1) advance to the national championship site in Fresno, Calif. for the remainder of the tournament.
The opening round is being played on 15 campuses throughout the nation. Host Fresno Pacific (Calif.) University earned a bye into the second round as the tournament's host.
