COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The tradition-rich Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer (MLS) used the 63rd pick of the 2010 MLS SuperDraft to select Lindsey Wilson College defender Shaun Francis on Thursday, Jan. 14 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pa.
Francis -- who becomes the fourth player selected to MLS in program history -- captained the Blue Raiders to the program's eighth NAIA National Championship this past season.
COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College men's soccer coach Ray Wells has been named the National Soccer Coaches Association of American-National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Men's Soccer Coach of the Year, the NAIA announced today.
The national honor is Wells' seventh national coach of the year honor in 20 seasons at Lindsey Wilson.
COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Three men's soccer players from Lindsey Wilson College were selected as All-Americans by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the national office announced on Dec. 5. Included in the trio were two first-team choices.
Freshmen Lebogang Moloto and Chris Ochieng were both named first team All-Americans, while sophomore defender Chris Williams was a second-team selection.
