COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Eric McPherson's shot at the buzzer from near the top of the key sailed short, giving 15th ranked Pikeville (Ky.) College the 79-78 win in overtime at Biggers Sports Center on Saturday.
The Bears' Justin Hicks knocked down a shot in the paint with 14 seconds to play to put them ahead by one. Then Kalen Kimberland pushed the ball down court and missed a bank shot with four seconds on the clock.
COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Despite four ties and two one-point leads, the Lindsey Wilson College men's basketball team was never able to get over the hump and take control of the game as St. Catharine (Ky.) College held on for a 61-58 win on Thursday at Biggers Sports Center.
Joshua Cherry paced the Blue Raiders with a career-high 18 points, while Eric McPherson tallied 13 and Kemo Duncan added 11.

While no Blue Raiders reached double figures scoring, Joshua Cherry led them in scoring with seven points. Andrija Tintor, Darren Ballou, Eric McPherson and Kemo Duncan all added six points for Lindsey Wilson.
