COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson men's soccer team shut out Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College for a 2-0 win on Saturday night at Lindsey Wilson Park.
The match opened very physical as Martin Methodist's senior defenseman Luke Beckett took down Lindsey Wilson forward Moses Aduny in the penalty box during the ninth minute. That set up a penalty kick for the Blue Raiders which was taken by senior midfielder Nathaniel Jafta.
Jafta placed the ball beautifully into the right corner to give Lindsey Wilson the early 1-0 lead.

The Blue Raiders are 3-0 on the season after winning a pair of games over the Labor Day weekend in St. Charles, Mo.
Lindsey Wilson sophomore goalkeeper Pedro Caetano looks to stretch his shutout streak to three games against a RedHawk team that scored four times against Montevallo University in a 4-2 win. Martin Methodist's Tiago Reichert scored a pair of goals in the win.
COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College sophomore goalkeeper Pedro Caetano has been named Mid-South Conference Soccer Players of the Week for the week ending Aug. 30.
Caetano, a Sao Paulo, Brazil, native, earned his first shutout of the season with a 1-0 win over No. 13-ranked Park (Mo.) University on Saturday, Aug. 30
The MSC award is Caetano's first of the season and second of his career.

Lindsey Wilson scored a goal in each half to hand the Lions their second straight loss.
Freshmen Moses Aduny and Mikael Lunneryd each scored in the win to help the Blue Raiders improve to 3-0-0 on the season.

Jafta netted his first goal of the season midway through the second half to give the No. 6-ranked Blue Raiders the 1-0 lead.
Sophomore goalkeeper Pedro Caetano and the Lindsey Wilson defense made the Jafta goal stand as the Blue Raiders improve to 2-0-0 on the season.
