Volleyball lost to Georgetown (Ky.) College 3-0 in the semifinals of the MSC Tournament on Wednesday.

FRANKFORT, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College volleyball season came to a close on Wednesday with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-16, 25-16) loss to sixth ranked Georgetown in the semifinals of the Mid-South Conference Tournament at the Frankfort Civic Center.

Junior Racheal Achieng paced the No. 4-seed Blue Raiders with seven kills, while junior Sumyr Knight and sophomore Samantha Camp each added five. The No. 1-seed Tigers were led by Kristy Hock with nine kills.

FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Junior Racheal Achieng posted a team-high 14 kills and freshman Ashlie Haworth added 13 to lead No. 4-seed Lindsey Wilson College past No. 5-seed University of the Cumberlands (Ky.), 3-1, in the first round of the Mid-South Conference Tournament on Tuesday at the Frankfort Civic Center.

The Blue Raiders led 2-0 in the match, but dropped the third set before ultimately winning 25-13, 25-14, 23-25, 25-16.

FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Seven Lindsey Wilson College volleyball student-athletes were honored on Monday at the annual Mid-South Conference volleyball awards banquet held before the conference tournament at the Capital Plaza Ball Room.

Senior Sarah Kline, junior Racheal Achieng and freshman Ashlie Haworth were named to the all-conference team.

GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- The sixth ranked Georgetown (Ky.) College volleyball team proved too strong for Lindsey Wilson College on Wednesday, topping the Blue Raiders 3-0 at Alumni Gymnasium.

Lindsey Wilson closes out its regular season with a 9-24 overall and 8-6 Mid-South Conference record, while Georgetown improves to 37-2 and 13-0 in conference play with the 25-13, 25-12, 25-13 win.

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. -- Freshman Ashlie Haworth led a potent offensive attack with 15 kills, while junior Racheal Achieng added 13 as the Lindsey Wilson College volleyball team topped University of the Cumberlands (Ky.), 3-1 on Thursday.

After dropping the first set 19-25, Lindsey Wilson (9-23, 8-5 MSC) bounced back with three straight wins (25-23, 25-18, 25-19) to put Cumberlands (15-19, 7-7 MSC) away.
