MARION, Ind. -- John Paul Williamson qualified for the 5,000-meter finals today at the 2013 NAIA Men's Outdoor Track & Field National Championships at Indiana Wesleyan Track.

Williamson is one of 16 men to advance to Saturday's finals following today's preliminary race. He crossed the finish line in 15 minutes and 3.64 seconds.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson's Charlie Mullennex earned 2013 Men's Track & Field Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, NAIA officials announced on Friday.

MARION, Ind. -- Sharon Ronoh finished third in the women's 10,000-meter run, earning six team points and being named an All-American for Lindsey Wilson at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships at the Indiana Wesleyan Outdoor Track Complex.

Takudzwa Mhlanga also competed on day one of the championships on the men's side, finishing seventh in the second heat of the 110-meter hurdles in a sprint that involved interference from the next lane.
