Lindsey Wilson College baseball coach Mike Talley begins his 16th season at his alma mater in 2007-08.
Talley -- the winningest baseball coach in Lindsey Wilson history -- eclipsed the 400 win plateau on April 6, 2007, when the Blue Raiders beat Mid-South Conference foe Pikeville College 5-2. Talley's career record is 412-360.
A 1991 Lindsey Wilson College graduate, Talley's teams have made nine appearances in the last 13 NAIA regional tournaments. The Blue Raiders captured their only regional title in 2000, winning the Region XII Tournament.
The 2000 regional crown marked the end of a two-year run where the Blue Raiders posted a 71-34 record and won a pair of Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season and tournament championships.
Talley is a two-time conference coach of the year.
Talley earned his 300th career victory during the 2003 season, leading his Blue Raiders to a 6-3 win over conference foe Georgetown (Ky.) College and his 350th win in 2005 with a 17-0 win over Cumberland (Ky.) College on April 16.
Prior to becoming the Blue Raiders coach, Talley pitched at Lindsey Wilson during the 1988-91 seasons. Despite shoulder problems, he was a key member of the school's first team to reach 20 wins in a season in 1990.
A 1987 graduate of Bowling Green High School in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Coach Talley went 10-1 on the mound for the Purples during his junior season in 1986 and was the starting pitcher in the state championship game.
Coach Talley and his wife, Dana, have two children, Christian and Lauren.
