Ashley McCool-Cozart enters her fourth season as the head softball coach at Lindsey Wilson College in 2012-13.
Since arriving at Lindsey Wilson, McCool-Cozart has won better than 80 percent of her games. She begins the 2013 season with an overall record of 141-35 -- including a 61-13 Mid-South Conference regular season record.
She has led the Blue Raiders to three straight NAIA National Tournaments while winning three Mid-South Conference regular season and tournament titles.
She is a three-time MSC Coach of the Year.
In each of her first three seasons, her Lindsey Wilson teams have won 47 games -- a program record -- while playing some of the best teams in the NAIA.
Last season, McCool-Coazart's Blue Raiders finished with a 47-13 record and a 19-5 conference mark.
On February 24, McCool-Cozart captured her 100th career win in an 8-2 win over Indiana University-Southeast.
During her Lindsey Wilson career, McCool-Cozart has coached one MSC Player of the Year, three MSC Pitchers of the Year and 13 first team all-conference selections. She also has coached a NAIA All-American and four NAIA honorable mention All-Americans.
Prior to arriving at Lindsey Wilson, McCool-Cozart served as the assistant coach at Lee University.
McCool-Cozart helped Lee to a 39-14 record and a share of the Southern States Athletic Conference regular-season championship in 2009. Prior to Lee, McCool-Cozart spent two seasons as the head coach at Antioch High School.
As a student-athlete, McCool-Cozart helped Trevecca Nazarene University to a pair of top-five finishes at the NAIA Softball World Series.
She was selected as the TranSouth Conference and NAIA Region XI Player of the Year in 2006 and concluded her career as a four-time all-conference performer. She ranks in the program's top-five in hits, doubles, runs batted in, home runs and batting average.
McCool-Cozart graduated from Trevecca Nazarene in 2007. She is married to Lindsey Wilson golf coach Shaun Cozart.
