Lee Chalmers enters his second season in 2012-13 as an assistant coach for the Lindsey Wilson College men's soccer program.
In his first season with the Blue Raiders, Chalmers helped Lindsey Wilson to its ninth national championship and an undefeated season.
Chalmers is a former NAIA All-American at the University of Mobile (Ala.) where he played from 1991-1996 -- reaching the final four in each of his last three seasons. At Mobile, Chalmers was a four-time all-conference selection and was selected to the Umbro Senior Bowl.
While at Mobile, Chalmers earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 2006, while maintaining a spot on the dean's list.
After college Chalmers played three seasons of professional soccer beginning with the New Orleans Gamblers of the USISL in 1996. He played with the Columbus Comets of the EISL in 1997 and with the Savannah Rug Ratz of the EISL in 1998.
Following his playing career, Chalmers managed and directed numerous international soccer training facilities, including stints in sports marketing.
Chalmers was the director of Shooting Stars Sports Concepts in South Africa from 2004 through 2008 where he created a soccer school for private individual and small group technical coaching lessons.
In 2008, Chalmers added Perx Consulting to his directing duties where he merged the company with Shooting Stars to manage sponsorships and marketing ideas for commercial companies.
Also while in South Africa, Chalmers was a technical coaching director at the Balfour Park Football Club in 2005. Balfour is one of the biggest youth football clubs in Johannesburg where Chalmers helped educate the club's coaches on improved training techniques.
While coaching and helping numerous players gain soccer scholarships to attend colleges in the United States, Chalmers has also volunteered his services at the Clemson Academy Soccer Camp in 2005 and 2006 and coached in the 2004 Disney International Soccer Tournament.
