

John B. Wethington enters his 23rd season in 2011-12 as the head coach of the Lindsey Wilson women's basketball program.
Wethington's teams have reached the NAIA National Tournament in each of the last four seasons, including losing to the eventual national champions in the second round last season.
Last season, Wethington led the Blue Raiders to a 24-9 overall record, including 13-5 in the Mid-South Conference. Last season's national tournament run was the eighth appearance for Wethington's teams, including making the field in five out of the last six years.
The Blue Raiders reached the tournament's Sweet 16 three times out of the last four seasons.
In his first game last season, Wethington picked up his 400th career win with a 99-67 win over Morris College on November 5. His overall record stands at 423-267, including 12 seasons of at least 20 wins. Wethington has led two teams to 25 wins -- the most in a single season in the program's history.
Wethington led the Blue Raiders to five Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) championships prior to moving to the Mid-South Conference in 2000-01.
In 2007-08, Wethington led the Blue Raiders to their second consecutive Mid-South Conference regular-season title. Lindsey Wilson finished that season with an 8-2 record in league play after a 9-1 mark in 2006-07.
Wethington has been honored five times with conference coach of the year awards.
Wethington was the 1990-91, 1996-97 and 1998-99 KIAC Women's Basketball Coach of the Year and 2006-07 and 2007-08 Mid-South Conference Women's Basketball Coach of the Year.
Wethington earned his 300th win on Nov. 12, 2005 in a 59-44 win over Grace College, his 200th win on Nov. 30, 1999 over Lipscomb University and his 100th win on Jan. 21, 1995 over Brescia University.
Before being named head coach at Lindsey Wilson in 1989, Wethington spent two seasons as an assistant coach for the women's program.
Wethington graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1987. Wethington served as head manager for the men's basketball program, which was coached by former college and NBA star Clem Haskins.
Wethington was also a student assistant coach at LWC during the 1982-83 and 1983-84 seasons.
Wethington and his wife, Shelia, have two children, Mason and Brenna.
