Rick Clendaniel is a 2005 graduate of Lock Haven University in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. He achieved a B.S. in Sports Administration with a Minor in Coaching while attending Lock Haven. After graduation, Clendaniel coached four years for the Jersey Shore Area School District and one year at Central Mountain High School.

While at Jersey Shore, Clendaniel guided the girls cross country team to an undefeated season, eight combined invitational victories and 13 first team all conference selections.

In his only year at Central Mountain High School, Clendaniel guided the boys and girls track teams to 17 school records. He also led the boys and girls 4X800 meter relay teams to their first District VI AAA title in school history.

This past April, Clendaniel competed in the Boston Marathon, placing 91st overall with a time of 2:35:28. Rick also has his USATF Level I Certification.

Clendaniel was born and raised in Warminster, PA.
