Wethington has led the Blue Raiders to four NAIA National Tournaments, including three (2001-02, 2003-04 and 2005-06) appearances in the last six seasons.
Lindsey Wilson is 332-225 under Wethington, including eight 20-win seasons. Wethington led the Blue Raiders to five Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) championships prior to moving to the Mid-South Conference during the 2000-01 season.
In 2006-07, Wethington led the Blue Raiders to their first Mid-South Conference regular season title. Lindsey Wilson finished the regular season 9-1 in league play.
Wethington has been honored four times with conference coach of the year awards. Wethington was the 1990-91, 1996-97 and 1998-99 KIAC Women's Basketball Coach of the Year and 2006-07 Mid-South Conference Women’s Basketball Coach of the Year.
Wethington earned his 250th career victory on January 7, 2003, when the Blue Raiders defeated Southern Virginia University 71-50, and his 300th win on November 12, 2005 in a 59-44 win over Grace College.
Before being named head coach at Lindsey Wilson in 1989, Wethington spent two seasons as an assistant coach for the women's program.
Wethington graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1987. Wethington served as head manager for the men's basketball program, which was coached by former college and NBA star Clem Haskins. Wethington was also a student assistant coach at LWC during the 1982-83 and 1983-84 seasons.
Wethington is a native of Clementsville, Kentucky, and a 1982 graduate of Casey County High School.
Wethington and his wife, Shelia, have two children, Mason and Brenna.

Coach Steve Beck begins his second season as Lindsey Wilson women's varsity assistant and head junior varsity coach.
Beck is a veteran of the NAIA women’s basketball coaching with stops at Brescia University and Lee University before his current stint at Lindsey Wilson’s head assistant.
