Head Coach - 3rd Season

Ashley McCool-Cozart enters her third season as the head softball coach at Lindsey Wilson College in 2011-12.

In her first two seasons, McCool-Cozart has led the Blue Raider softball program to back-to-back NAIA National Tournament appearances -- the program's first-ever trips to the national tournament.

In each trip to the national tournament, Lindsey Wilson fell one game shy of advancing to the double-elimination tournament after winning twice in pool play action.

In addition to the national success, McCool-Cozart has led the Blue Raiders to consecutive Mid-South Conference regular season and tournament titles in 2009 and 2010.

McCool-Cozart owns an overall record of 94-22, including a 42-8 Mid-South Conference regular season record. She is a two-time MSC Coach of the Year.

Last season, McCool-Cozart led the Blue Raiders to a 47-8 record, matching the 2009 team with the most wins in the program's history. Her first team at Lindsey Wilson finished the season with 47-14 overall record and 22-6 mark in conference play.

McCool-Cozart has coached two MSC Pitchers of the Year and nine first team all-conference selections in her first two seasons. She also has coached a NAIA All-American and three NAIA honorable mention All-Americans.

Prior to arriving at Lindsey Wilson, McCool-Cozart served as the assistant coach at Lee University.

McCool-Cozart helped Lee to a 39-14 record and a share of the Southern States Athletic Conference regular-season championship in 2009. Prior to Lee, McCool-Cozart spent two seasons as the head coach at Antioch High School.

As a student-athlete, McCool-Cozart helped Trevecca Nazarene University to a pair of top-five finishes at the NAIA Softball World Series.

She was selected as the TranSouth Conference and NAIA Region XI Player of the Year in 2006 and concluded her career as a four-time all-conference performer. She ranks in the program's top-five in hits, doubles, runs batted in, home runs and batting average.

McCool-Cozart graduated from Trevecca Nazarene in 2007. She is married to Lindsey Wilson golf coach Shaun Cozart.
