Coaching Honors

·     Two-time KIAC Coach of the Year (1999, 2000)

·     2000 NAIA Region XII Coach of the Year

Coaching Milestones

·     May 1996 -- 100th win vs. Cumberland

·     Feb. 20, 2000 -- 200th win vs. No. Kentucky

·     May 16, 2000 -- Won Region XII title

·     April 6, 2007 -- 400th win vs. Pikeville

·     April 23, 2010 -- Won program-record 25th home game of season

Talley eclipsed the 450-win plateau during the 2010 season and is the program's all-time winningest baseball coach. In his 18 seasons at the helm of the Blue Raider program, Talley has amassed a 476-441 record.

Last season, Talley guided the Blue Raiders to 30 wins -- the most since the 2007 season. The 25 home wins in 2010 set the program record for most home wins in a single season.

Talley enters the 2011 season just 24 wins from his 500th win.

A 1991 Lindsey Wilson College graduate, Talley's teams have made nine appearances in NAIA regional tournaments. The Blue Raiders captured their only regional title in 2000, winning the Region XII Tournament.

The 2000 regional crown marked the end of a two-year run where the Blue Raiders posted a 71-34 record and won a pair of Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season and tournament championships.

Talley is a two-time conference coach of the year.

Talley earned his 300th career victory during the 2003 season, leading his Blue Raiders to a 6-3 win over conference foe Georgetown (Ky.) College and his 350th win in 2005 with a 17-0 win over Cumberland (Ky.) College on April 16.

Prior to becoming the Blue Raiders coach, Talley pitched at Lindsey Wilson during the 1988-91 seasons. Despite shoulder problems, he was a key member of the school's first team to reach 20 wins in a season in 1990.

A 1987 graduate of Bowling Green High School in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Coach Talley went 10-1 on the mound for the Purples during his junior season in 1986 and was the starting pitcher in the state championship game.

Coach Talley and his wife, Dana, have two children, Christian and Lauren.
