
Coach Chris Oliver begins his first season in 2010 at the helm of the Lindsey Wilson football program. Oliver becomes the first coach in the program's history since the 1935 season -- the last season of Lindsey Wilson football.
The Lindsey Wilson job is Oliver's first head coaching position after spending five seasons as assistant coach at Ohio Dominican University. Oliver served as offensive coordinator at Ohio Dominican from 2006-08.

Hired on January 7, 2009, Oliver has overseen ever aspect of rebuilding the Lindsey Wilson football program. Soon after being announced as the Blue Raiders coach, Oliver hit the recruiting trail which resulted in the signing of a pair of local student-athletes on February 4.
Oliver concluded his first recruiting class with 65 student-athletes inking with the LWC football program.
On May 26, Oliver began assembling his coaching staff with the hiring of Brian Foos as the offensive coordinator and Mike Gutelius as the defensive coordinator.
Since May, Oliver has added his 2010 signing class and completed his coaching staff in preparation for the 2010 season.
Prior to coming to Lindsey Wilson, Oliver helped start the Ohio Dominican football program from scratch. As the lead assistant and recruiting coordinator, Oliver spearheaded the recruitment of 160 student-athletes in 2004.
During his time at Ohio Dominican, Oliver led one of the most prolific offenses in the NAIA.
In 2006, Oliver's offense ranked third in the NAIA in total offense and passing offense. The following season, the Panthers led the NAIA in total offense and passing, and they were second in scoring. In 2008, Ohio Dominican was third in passing and 11th in total offense.
The Panthers were 26-7 while Oliver was ODU offensive coordinator, which included an appearance in the 2007 NAIA Football Championship Series quarterfinals.
Prior to Ohio Dominican, Oliver served on coach Jim Tressel's Ohio State University staff as a student-assistant. Oliver assisted with the Buckeyes' tight ends and special teams. He also assisted with scouting and worked closely with recruiting. Oliver helped the Buckeyes to the 2001 Outback Bowl.
Oliver and his wife, Wendy, reside in Columbia and have one daughter, Samantha.

Coach Brian Foos enters his first season in 2010 as the Lindsey Wilson College football offensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator.
Foos comes to Lindsey Wilson after spending the last five seasons at Ohio Dominican University, where he was responsible for coaching tight ends and quarterbacks. He was the team's academic coordinator during the 2008 season.

Foos was promoted to offensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator following Oliver's departure from Ohio Dominican in January to become Lindsey Wilson's coach.
Prior to Ohio Dominican, Foos was defensive line coach at Ohio Wesleyan University in 2003 and assistant offensive line coach at Otterbein (Ohio) College in 2002.
As a student-athlete, Foos started 39 games on the offensive line at Otterbein during the 1998-2001 seasons. While at Tiffin Columbian High School, he was Honorable Mention All-State, First Team All-Northwest Ohio and First Team All-Northern Ohio League offensive lineman.
Foos resides in Columbia.

Coach Mike Gutelius begins his first season as the Lindsey Wilson College football defensive coordinator in 2010.

Gutelius comes to Lindsey Wilson after spending the last six seasons as Concord (W.Va.) University's assistant head coach and defensive coordinator. He also developed, organized and managed the team's academic success program.
Prior to Concord, Gutelius spent two seasons as defensive ends coach at Wingate (N.C.) University. He has also coached at University of La Verne (Calif.), St. Norbert (Wis.) College and Catholic University of America.
Gutelius resides in Columbia with his wife, Kimberly and their three children, Michael, Sam and Mary Katherine.

Prior to Lindsey Wilson, Dougherty served as defensive line coach and academic coordinator at Defiance (Ohio) College. At Defiance, Dougherty was also responsible for all film breakdown and scouting report duties.
Dougherty has served as a coach at numerous collegiate football camps, including stints at the University of Notre Dame (Ind.), Ball State (Ind.) University and the University of Toledo (Ohio).
As a student-athlete, Dougherty was a two-year starter at linebacker for Ohio Dominican University where he earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 2008. After his playing career ended at Ohio Dominican, Dougherty joined the coaching staff as an assistant linebacker coach under head coach Dale Carlson.
Dougherty finished his master's of education degree at Defiance in 2010.

Coach Bert Bathiany begins his first season in 2010 with the Lindsey Wilson College football program. Bathiany will primarily coach the defensive line.

Prior to Lindsey Wilson, Bathiany has also served as an intern and graduate assistant with the Western Kentucky University strength and conditioning department, as well as a stint as an assistant to Denison's strength and conditioning coach.
As a student-athlete, Bathiany played at Denison (Ohio) University where he was a three-year starter at safety and linebacker. The native of Northern Kentucky earned the Outstanding Defensive Back Award and Defensive MVP honor in 2008, while also being selected to the NCAC All-Conference Second Team.
Prior to Denison, Bathiany captained the 2004 Kentucky State Football Champion Highlands High School.

During his internship with Wingate, Burkett served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach and recruiting coordinator.
Burkett also holds a wealth of volunteer experience, including three years with the Special Olympics and was a member of the Sports Management Club at Wingate.
Burkett received his Bachelor of Science degree from Wingate in 2009.

Coach Mike Ridings begins his first season in 2010 as an assistant coach for the Lindsey Wilson College football program. Among other duties, Ridings will primarily coach wide receivers.

Prior to joining the Blue Raider staff, Ridings spent a season at the University of Saint Francis (Ill.) coaching wide receivers. During his season as Saint Francis, the school's offense broke 10 school passing records, including touchdowns and completions in a season.
While obtaining his bachelor's degree at Indiana University, Ridings was a student assistant coach for four seasons for the Hoosiers. At Indiana, Ridings assisted with running backs, the offensive line and special teams.

Coach Alan Short begins his first season as an assistant coach for the Lindsey Wilson College football program in 2010.
Short's prior coaching stops include four years as an assistant at Adair Co. High School in Columbia, Ky., and one year as the quarterbacks coach at Lawrence Co. High School in Louisa, Ky.
Short played collegiately at Campbellsville (Ky.) University where he was an All-Mid South Conference Second Team selection at quarterback and MSC Player of the Week as a three-year starter for the Tigers.
He has spent the past four years teaching special education at Adair Co. Elementary and High School.

Coach David Cornelison begins his first season as an assistant coach for the Lindsey Wilson College football program in 2010.

Cornelison's prior coaching jobs include seven years as an assistant at Tates Creek High School in Lexington, Ky., and two years as the head track & field coach at Tates Creek. With the Tates Creek football team, Cornelison split time between coaching both offensive and defensive lines as well as special teams.
He has spent the past four years as an educator, teaching special education at Marion County High School and Tates Creek.
