
Bill Shook begins his second season as the men's and women's tennis coach at Lindsey Wilson College in 2010-11.

In his first season at the helm of the Blue Raider programs, Shook led the men's and women's tennis teams to appearances at the NAIA National Championships. Both programs captured the 2009 Mid-South Conference Regular and Postseason Championships.
Shook guided the men to a 17-4 record in his first season, while three players were named NAIA All-Americans. The women finished 2009-10 with a 16-5 record and had two players named NAIA All-Americans.
Shook comes to Lindsey Wilson after leading the Piedmont College volleyball program in 2008 and a 10-year volleyball coaching stint at Mars Hill College. He also served as tennis assistant coach for four years while at Mars Hill.
In addition to his tennis coaching at Mars Hill, Shook holds a United States Professional Tennis Registry Teaching Certification and has 28 years of competitive experience, including playing collegiately at the University of Maryland.
Shook has more than 25 years of private tennis instruction and has served as a tennis official in the Mid-Atlantic Region for the United State Tennis Association.
In February of 2010, Shook became just the fourth male coach to be inducted into the Howard County, Md., Women's Athletics Hall of Fame.
Shook guided Centennial High School volleyball to seven county championships and four state titles in nine years. His volleyball teams amassed a 174-25 record. He led the Centennial tennis program to a 127-13 record while collecting eight county titles and three state titles, including coaching two state doubles champions.
Coach Shook and his wife Kathy have two daughters, Lauren and Kimberly, who recently graduated from Western Piedmont and UNC-Greensboro with degrees in nursing and communications.
