Edwin Hagans
Head Coach - 8th Season
 

Edwin Hagans begins his eighth season in 2012-13 as the Lindsey Wilson College men's and women's track & field coach. Hagans also serves as the Blue Raiders men's and women's cross country coach.

The Lindsey Wilson indoor and outdoor track & field teams has been a consistent participant at the NAIA Track & Field National Championships.

During Hagans' seven years, the women's track & field team has scored points in all but one indoor and one outdoor national championship.

The Blue Raider women's best indoor finish came in 2009 when Lindsey Wilson finished 16th overall. Their best outdoor finish was a 15th place finish in 2012.

At the Mid-South Conference Championships under Hagans' direction, the women's track & field teams own a pair of seconds and a pair of third place finishes. The Blue Raiders finished sixth in 2012.

Hagans has been named MSC Women's Track & Field Coach of the Year twice. He has coached 14 NAIA All-American and 20 all-conference performers while serving as Lindsey Wilson women's coach.

On the men's side, Lindsey Wilson has scored in all but one outdoor championship and all but three indoor national meets under Hagans. The Blue Raider indoor men's top performance came in 2009 with an 18th place finish while their best outdoor finish came in 2006 with a 20th place finish.

At the conference level, the men's track & field team has finished second three times -- including the 2012 meet -- at the conference championships.

Hagans was voted by his peers as MSC Men's Track & Field Coach of the Year once. He has coached 16 NAIA All-American men and 26 all-conference men while at Lindsey Wilson.

Prior to Lindsey Wilson, Hagans served as an assistant coach in track & field at Berea College. While an assistant coach at Berea, Hagans coached six track and field national championship participants. Two became All-Americans, one was a two-time national champion, and one was an All-American in two events.

Prior to his coaching career, Hagans was a four-year letter winner in track as an undergraduate. He earned All-American honors in the 400-meter hurdles in 1995 and was selected Most Valuable Track and Field Athlete at Berea College in three of his four seasons.

Aside from his coaching, Hagans served as a professor of fitness and wellness at Eastern Kentucky University. Hagans was also a personal trainer in Orlando, Florida.

Hagans graduated from Berea in 1995 and later completed his master's degree at Eastern Kentucky University in 2003. He and his wife, Mandy, have two children, Adin and Alex.

Andrew Nash
Assistant Coach - 4th Season
 

Andrew Nash begins his fourth season at Lindsey Wilson College in 2012-13 as the Blue Raiders' assistant cross country and track & field coach.

In his first three seasons, Nash has helped the men's and women's track & field teams score at the five NAIA Men's Track & Field National Championships and all six women's championships (indoor and outdoor).

Prior to Lindsey Wilson, Nash spent two seasons as assistant cross country and track & field coach at Berea College. In the two years before serving as a coach, Nash worked as a student athletic trainer for the Mountaineers.

As a student-athlete at Berea, Nash was awarded the Coach Roland Wierwillie Athletic Award in 2007 and named an NAIA Academic All-American in track & field in 2007 and 2008.

While on the coaching staff at Berea, Nash trained and conditioned over 100 runners, jumpers and throwers. Nash coached five NAIA track & field national qualifiers, two NAIA Academic All-Americans, four Mid-South Conference individual champions and helped the Mountaineers break two school records in javelin and discuss in 2009.

Nash is a member of the Kentucky Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (KAHPERD) and the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). He has also served as a volunteer with the 2007 Special Olympics in track and field.

Nash has also earned his certification as a Level 1 Coach through USA Track & Field.

Nash graduated from Berea in 2008.
