The Blue Raider duo opens play at 12:30 p.m. CT on Thursday, Oct. 12, against Texas A&M-Texarkana's Wendy French and Daejia Lynch. All matches are played at the Rome Tennis Center.
Seven regional winners and an at-large doubles team makes up the championship field. Keiser's (Fla.) Megane Bianco and Daniela Farfan are the top seed in the tournament.
Gligic and Peric earned their way to the championship with an 8-6 win over Campbellsville's (Ky.) Kaede Amano and Majella Nobile in the ITA Southeast Regional in Georgetown, Ky. on Sept. 24.
Bianco and Farfan captured the Central-West/Southwest Regional.
According to the ITA website, the ITA Oracle Cup has history dating back to 1986, and it is the only singles and doubles national championship event for the Division II and NAIA levels. This year, more than 8,000 players took part in a total of 60 regional tournaments to gain entry into the ITA Oracle Cup field.
The tournament continues through Sunday.
