COLUMBIA, Ky. – The NAIA released its third regular season softball Coaches' Top-25 Poll Tuesday evening and the Lindsey Wilson softball team moved up three spots to No. 6.
The Blue Raiders (35-8, 21-1 MSC) received 435 points in the poll. Lindsey Wilson has now been ranked in 49 consecutive polls which is the third longest streak in the NAIA.
Oklahoma City earned all 19 first-place votes in the poll. The Stars received 529 points.
Brenau (Ga.) comes in ranked at No. 2 with 501 points, Columbia (Mo.) is No. 3 earning 498 points, Marian (Ind.) is 4th with 476 points and rounding out the top-five is Georgia Gwinnett earning 463 points.
Campbellsville (Ky.) is the only other Mid-South Conference team in the top-25 at No. 9. The Tigers received 377 points in the poll. Georgetown (Ky.) is the only MSC team in the receiving votes section with 50 points.
Lindsey Wilson is back in action on Wednesday for a road doubleheader at Cincinnati Christian (Ohio) beginning at 11 a.m. CT.
