COLUMBIA, Ky. – For the second time this season, Maria Prados Cid is the Mid-South Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.
The sophomore from Vinaros, Spain posted a 5-0 record in a trio of wins last week for the Blue Raiders.
In a 5-0 win over No. 5 Cardinal Stritch (Wis.), she earned an 8-4 win at the top-seeded doubles match.
Prados Cid then earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 5 singles in a 5-3 LWC win over No. 15 Northwestern Ohio, while earning a 9-7 victory at No. 1 doubles.
She finished the week upsetting Priscila Nunez and Dana Huck (ranked seventh in NAIA doubles), 8-6, against No. 17 Olivet Nazarene (Ill.). She also won 6-1, 6-0, at No. 4 singles.
Prados Cid earns her second player of the week honor of the season and third of her career.
