COLUMBIA, Ky. – For the second-straight week, Denis Porcic is the Mid-South Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
The junior from Tuzla, Bosnia & Herzegovina went 3-1 last week to help No. 4-ranked Lindsey Wilson go 2-1 as a team in a trio of top-15 contests.
He suffered is lone loss of the week at No. 1 doubles against No. 5 Northwestern Ohio, 8-6.
Porcic then earned two wins against No. 9 Cardinal Stritch (Wis.), beating No. 13-ranked Fabio Perasso 7-5, 6-2 at No. 1 singles and earning an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles against the Wolves.
He finished the week beating No. 10-ranked doubles pair Oscar Cornella and Alfonso Martinez of No. 15 Olivet Nazarene (Ill.), 8-6, at the top-seeded doubles match.
Porcic earns his third weekly honor of the season and seventh of his career.
