COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men and women's swim teams have been named College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Teams, the organization announced on Wednesday.
The honor is bestowed upon teams that achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2016 fall semester.
Lindsey Wilson's men's team accumulated a 3.11 GPA, while the women's team recorded a 3.45 GPA. Both averages were the fifth highest among NAIA swim institutions.
A total of 638 teams representing 394 institutions across all levels of collegiate competition received the academic honor. Ninety-one more teams and 36 additional institutions collected the award compared to last fall.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America – the oldest organization of college coaches in America – is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
