COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College Women’s tennis team is picked to win the Mid-South Conference, according the MSC preseason coaches’ poll released today.

Lindsey Wilson picked up 25 points, including five first-place votes from the league coaches. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team.

Georgetown (Ky.) College is picked to finish runner-up to the Blue Raiders with 19 points.

Campbellsville (Ky.) University is picked third with 16 points, including the other first-place vote and University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) fourth with 15 points. West Virginia University Tech (10 points) and Pikeville (Ky.) College (5) completes the six-team conference.

The Blue Raiders open their 2008 season at 1 p.m. CT on Thursday, February 28 against University of the Cumberlands at Williamsburg, Ky. Lindsey Wilson opens conference play at 12 p.m. CT on March 4, as the Blue Raiders travel to Pikeville College.
