COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's swim team maintained a No. 8 ranking in the latest NAIA Coaches' Swimming & Diving Top-10 Poll, the national office announced on Thursday.
Keiser (Fla.) took over as the No. 1 team in the poll as SCAD Savannah (Ga.) held at No. 2. Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) slipped to No. 3.
Joining the Blue Raiders from the Mid-South Conference in the poll is Cumberlands (Ky.) at No. 6 and Lindenwood-Belleville (Ill.) at No. 9.
The team ratings are conducted by a committee of NAIA Swimming and Diving coaches three times during the season using the most current "top times" as the primary source of ranking.
Lindsey Wilson topped Bethel (Tenn.) the last time out in a dual meet on Dec. 5, winning 138-20.
The national office released the third top times report for the 2016-17 season earlier this week.
Clemens Paetzold owns a trio of top-10 times this season in the NAIA. He has the fourth quickest time in the 100-yard backstroke, the sixth-fastest time in the 200-yard backstroke, and the eighth-quickest time in the 200-yard individual medley.
The Blue Raiders rank eighth or better in all five relay events, including sixth in the 200 medley relay, 400 free relay and 400 medley relay, and have the fourth-fastest time in the 800 free relay.
