COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's swimming teams host Bethel (Tenn.) for a 1 p.m. CT Saturday dual at the Holloway Center Natatorium on Senior Day.
During the afternoon, the seniors of the men's and women's programs will be recognized for their contributions and accomplishments.
Lindsey Wilson last competed at the Brenau Invitational on Nov. 19. Both the No. 8-ranked men's team and the No. 7-ranked women's team finished in third place at the event.
The men's team broke two school records on the day in the 200-yard medley relay and the 800-yard freestyle relay.
The 200-yard medley relay team finished the event in one minute and 33.92 seconds to finish in third.
The Lindsey Wilson men also finished third in the 800-yard freestyle relay with a time of 6:58.94.
Additionally, Jonas Mueller won the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing in 56.96 seconds.
On the women's side, Ines Khiyara broke the school record in the 400-yard individual medley, winning the event in addition to the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke races. The freshman completed the 400-yard IM in 4:38.12 to set the new record.
Jessica Macdonald set a pair of school records in the 100 and 200-yard freestyle events. The Durban, South Africa native completed the 100-yard freestyle in 52.83 seconds and swam the 200-yard freestyle in 1:53.86.
Bethel last competed on Nov. 19 at the Sewanee (Tenn.) Igloo Invitational. The Wildcats last competed in a dual on Oct. 28 against Asbury (Ky.), which both the men's and women's teams lost.
The Blue Raiders' men's team won their last two dual meets after losing the first three to start the season. Lindsey Wilson's women's team is 4-1 in dual meets this season.
Lindsey Wilson's dual meet with Bethel begins at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday from the Holloway Center Natatorium.
