WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men’s and women’s basketball teams split their Mid-South Conference opener today against University of the Cumberlands at the O. Wayne Rollins Center.

The Lindsey Wilson women beat No. 20-ranked Cumberlands 71-68 in the opener while the Blue Raider men fell to Cumberlands 49-46 in the nightcap.

Lindsey Wilson senior guard Krystal Jackson led the Blue Raider women (13-8, 1-0 in the MSC) with 19 points. Senior reserve forward Moneta Anderson added 17 points in the win.

Cumberlands falls to 14-6 and 0-1 in the MSC.

In the men’s game, junior George White scored 13 points as the Blue Raiders fall to 12-8 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

Cumberlands improves to 12-8 overall and 1-0 in the MSC.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Thursday, January 31, as the Blue Raiders travel to Campbellsville (Ky.) University.
