Blue Raiders finish 21st in 32-team field
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --The Lindsey Wilson College bowling team opened up its season this weekend as the Blue Raiders participated at the Brickyard Classic in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The Blue Raider men finished 21st out of the 32-team field. The women did not compete.
Lindsey Wilson scored 8,007 points after posting a 2-2 record in the tournament while collecting 7,907 pins.
Fifty bonus points for each head-to-head win are added to the total amount of pins accumulated to get the final total points.
Blue Raider junior Dustin Beard led Lindsey Wilson with 1,189 total pins, including a team-high 249 game. Beard finished 14th out of 192 bowlers.
LWC sophomore Jake Alexander added 1,076 total pins with senior Johnathan Wood collecting a pin-total of 1,050.
Lindsey Wilson juniors Michael Mynear and Jeff Bivins rounded out the Blue Raider scoring with 1,015 and 919 total pins.
Fresno State (Calif.) University won the two-day event with 9,000 points after going 3-1 and accumulating 8,850 total pins.
Missouri Baptist's Mike Sapolis won the individual event with a total of 1,280 pins. He had a high-game of 242 pins.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on October 22-23 at the Orange and Black Classic in Beaver Creek, Ohio.
