WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College track & field team competed at the University of the Cumberlands Invitational on Saturday.
The Blue Raider men finished fifth out of 18 teams with 73 points. Morehead State (Ky.) University earned first place with 100.50 points.
Lindsey Wilson Senior Jamaine Gordon earned ten points for his first place finish in the men's triple jumpand six points for his third place finish in the men's long jump.
Junior Sammy Maiyo earned a national qualifier and ten points for his first place finish in the men's 10,000 meter run. Maiyo collected four points for his seventh place finish in the men's 1,500 meter run.
Junior Zanman Graham picked up a total of six points for the Blue Raiders. Graham finished seventh in the men's 100 meter dash, and fifth in the men's 200 meter dash.
Junior Emmanuel Isanda finished the day with a total of 16 points for the Blue Raiders. Isanda finished second in the men's 400 meter hurdles and third in the men's javelin throw.
The men's 4x400 meter relay team finished fourth and collected six points while the men's 4x800 meter relay team collected five points for their fourth place finish.
In the women's track & field competition, the Blue Raider women finished sixth out of 15 teams with 50 points. Eastern Kentucky University earned 125 points for first place.
Lindsey Wilson junior Amber Cannon collected a total of ten points for the Blue Raiders. Cannon finished third in the womens 400 meter dash and fifth in the women's 200 meter dash.
Freshman Stellah Sang earned six points for her fourth place finish in the women's 1,500 meter run and five points for her fourth place finish in the women's 800 meter run.
Freshman Grace Korir collected six points in her third place finish in the women's 5,000 meter run. Korir earned two points for her eighth place finish in the women's 1,500 meter run.
The women's 4x800 meter relay team collected ten points for their first place finish, while the women's 4x400 meter relay team earned six points for their third place finish.
Senior Meagan Crouse collected a total of five points for her sixth place finish in the women's 400 meter dash, and her seventh place finish in the women's 200 meter dash.
The Blue Raiders return to action on Saturday, April 21, as they travel to compete in the Eastern Kentucky Invitational.
