COLUMBIA, Ky. – No. 2 Lindsey Wilson men's tennis meets Union (Ky.) at 3 p.m. CT on Wednesday at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
It is the second of eight-consecutive home matches for the Blue Raiders.
Lindsey Wilson (4-2) has won two matches in a row, including a 5-4 victory over No. 18 Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) on Feb. 29 in the Blue Raiders' home opener. The doubles teams of Raul Mendez and Tomas Depiaggio, and Alonso Tellez and Ignacio Huertas each won their matches. In the singles portion of the competition, Huertas, Depiaggio, and Tellez each won singles matches to propel Lindsey Wilson to the win.
Union (3-4) has won two-straight matches, including a 5-3 win over Point (Ga.) at home on Sunday afternoon, but the Bulldogs are 1-3 in road matches this season.
Last year, the Blue Raiders rolled to a 9-0 win against the Bulldogs in Barbourville, Ky. Mendez and Huertas each picked up singles victories on the day.
First serve between Lindsey Wilson and Union is scheduled for 3 p.m. CT on Wednesday at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
