COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men’s and women’s golf teams earned nation rankings in the first NAIA poll of the season released today by the NAIA.

The Lindsey Wilson College women received 273 points from the 13 region raters to earn a No. 4 ranking. The Blue Raider men received 108 points and are No. 17 in the first regular season poll.

The Lindsey Wilson women won three of their four tournaments this fall.

Three-time defending national champions Oklahoma City University sits atop the poll with 325 points, including all 13 first-place votes.

University of British Columbia is No. 2 with 303 points and Berry (Ga.) College is third with 283 points.

Lindsey Wilson finished second last season at the NAIA National Championships. The Blue Raiders have won three straight Mid-South Conference and NAIA Region XI championships.

The Lindsey Wilson men won a pair of tournaments in the fall.

Oklahoma Christian University sits atop the men’s first poll with 322 points, including 10 of the 13 first-place votes.

British Columbia is second with 310 points, including the final three first-place votes. Defending national champion Oklahoma City opens the season at No. 3 with 302 points.

The Lindsey Wilson College golf teams open their spring season in late March with the national championships in late May.
