COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Five Lindsey Wilson College men’s soccer players earned national honors as the NAIA released the 2007 All-American teams earlier this week.

Lindsey Wilson senior defender Bonivenger Misiko and junior midfielder Nathaniel Jafta were named First Team All-American, while senior defender Tiyiselani Shipalane and senior midfielder Ryan Stewart were named Second Team All-American. Junior goalkeeper Glen Fox earned Honorable Mention All-American.

Misiko, a Nairobi, Kenya, native, anchored the Blue Raider defense that allowed just 19 goals in 22 games this season. This marks the second time Misiko earned First Team All-American honors. He was also named to the first team in 2005.

Misiko is a two-time (2005 and 2007) Mid-South Conference Player of the Year.

Jafta, a Cape Town, South Africa, native, led the Blue Raiders in scoring with 56 points on the season. His 22 goals and 12 assists were also team highs.

Shipalane, a Louisville, Ky., native, scored six goals and assisted on five others this season from the defender position. Shipalane earned Third Team All-American honors in 2006 and was Honorable Mention All-American in 2005.

Stewart, a Mayaro, Trinidad, native, scored 35 points this season. He amassed 15 goals and five assists in his final season. Stewart was named Honorable Mention All-American in 2006 and Third Team All-American in 2005.

Fox, a Peachtree City, Ga., native, recorded a 14-3-0 record this season with six shutouts. He amassed 53 saves and a 0.87 goals against average in 1,559 minutes.

Lindsey Wilson finished the 2007 season with a 19-3-0 record. The Blue Raiders’ season ended in the NAIA National Tournament quarterfinals with a 2-1 loss to Auburn University Montgomery (Ala.).
