JEFFERSONTOWN, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College volleyball beat West Virginia University Tech today in the opening round of the Mid-South Conference Tournament.

The No. 3-seed Blue Raiders improves to 15-23 on the season with the 30-24, 30-11 and 30-13 win over the sixth-seeded Golden Bears (3-32).

The Blue Raiders advance to the MSC semifinals to face Campbellsville (Ky.) University (31-6). The Lady Tigers -- who tied for the regular season championship with a 9-1 conference record -- swept the season series from Lindsey Wilson.

Lindsey Wilson senior middle blocker Lucy Ng’ang’a led the team with 18 kills in the win. She also contributed a .600 hitting percentage.

Senior outside hitter Roxanne Kirchner added 13 kills and a .571 hitting percentage. Sophomore setter Kelley Burke led the team with 29 assists, while sophomore libero Kate Smallwood recorded a team-high 12 digs.

As a team, Lindsey Wilson recorded a season-high .506 hitting percentage. The Blue Raiders amassed 51 kills in just 81 attempts.

Lindsey Wilson advances to the MSC semifinals scheduled for 4 p.m. CT at the Mid-American Sports Center in Jeffersontown.
