LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College senior middle blocker Lucy Ng’ang’a was named to the all Mid-South Conference volleyball team tonight at the MSC volleyball banquet.

Ng’ang’a led the Blue Raiders (14-23) with 626 kills and a .333 hitting percentage.

Senior Roxanne Kirchner and sophomores Sarah Kline and Kate Smallwood were named honorable mention all-conference.

Ng’ang’a, Kirchner, seniors Aubrey Mlachnik, Lauar Pfeffer and Staci Newsom were named to the Academic All Mid-South Conference for maintaining a minimum 3.25 grade point average and being sophomore or above standing.

Lindsey Wilson opens the 2007 Mid-South Conference Volleyball Tournament today at 11 a.m. against West Virginia University Tech at the Mid-American Sports Complex in Jeffersontown.

The No. 3-seeded Blue Raiders swept the season series from the sixth-seeded Golden Bears.

The winner of the first round match advances to play No. 2-seed Campbellsville (Ky.) University in the tournament’s semifinals at 5 p.m. CT. The final is scheduled for noon CT on Saturday.
