COLUMBIA, Ky. – The national office released the final NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll of the regular season on Monday, with Lindsey Wilson men's tennis still ranked No. 5.
The Blue Raiders (16-2) received 298 total points in the poll. Lindsey Wilson defeated No. 6 Cumberland (Tenn.) 5-3 to capture the Mid-South Conference Tournament on April 26 and earn an autonatic bid to the national championships on May 13-17. The Bulldogs received 283 points.
The four teams ahead of the Blue Raiders also remained the same. Leading the way is Embry-Riddle (Fla.), which earned 10 first-place votes and 340 points. Auburn Montgomery (Ala.) got one first-place vote and 330 points to remain at No. 2. Georgia Gwinnett is third with two first-place votes and 326 points, while Vanguard (Calif.) is fourth with 310 points.
Pikeville (Ky.) is No. 21 with 116 points. Campbellsville (Ky.) and Cumberlands (Ky.) are receiving votes with 56 and 19 points respectively.
The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences and unaffiliated groupings. The postseason Coaches' Top 25 Poll will be released on May 21.
