Mitchell Osnowitz gets the distinction for the second year in a row

Mid-South Conference Baseball Academic Honors

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Six Lindsey Wilson baseball players have earned Academic All Mid-South Conference honors.

Blue Raiders receiving the distinction include Carlos Alegria, Ryan Harper, Matt Lashlee, Chavis McDermott, Mitchell Osnowitz and Leonardo Ramirez.

A junior shortstop from Santo Domingo, Dominica, Alegria is majoring in Business Administration.

Harper plays third base and is a sophomore Physical Education major from Russellville, Ky.

Lashlee is pursuing a degree in Business Administration. The junior hails from Colorado Springs, Colo. and pitches for the Blue Raiders.

McDermott is a sophomore Criminal Justice major from Greensburg, Ky. He plays left field.

A senior third baseman from Bloomington, Ill., Osnowitz is completing a degree in Business Administration. This is the second time he has received the honor, having previously earned it last season.

Also majoring in Business Administration, Ramirez is a junior second baseman from Caracas, Venezuela.

A student-athlete must have achieved sophomore academic status and maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale in order to be nominated by an institution.

Cumberland (Tenn.) leads the MSC with 19 academic honorees, followed by Cumberlands (Ky.) with 14 and Pikeville (Ky.) with nine.
