COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson senior Kailey Moorhead has been named the American Volleyball Coaches Association Southeast Region Player of the Year.

Moorhead -- who also earned Mid-South Conference Player of the Year honors -- is one of four Blue Raiders to earn all-region honors for their play during the 2013 season.

Lindsey Wilson juniors Sarah Anderson and Nadelina Nesheva each join Moorhead on the all-region team while Alexa Just earned Southeast Region Freshman of the Year honors as well as honorable mention all-region honors.

Moorhead led the Mid-South Conference with a .405 hitting percentage and tied for the conference lead with 142 blocks during the season. She finished second in the MSC averaging one block per set and fifth in the conference averaging 2.9 kills per set.

On a national scale, Moorhead is fifth in hitting percentage and 18th in total blocks.

Anderson finished fifth in the Mid-South and 33rd in the NAIA with a .332 hitting percentage while Nesheva ended third in the MSC in kills per set (3.5) and seventh in the conference in hitting percentage (.286).

Just led the Mid-South in assists per set (10.5) and total assists (1,489) in 2013. She ended the season 14th in the NAIA in assists and 17th in assists per set.

The quartet led the Blue Raiders to a 36-6 overall record and a perfect Mid-South Conference regular season at 18-0. Lindsey Wilson reached the NAIA National Championship for a third straight season before falling in pool play.
