KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Lindsey Wilson's Renan Serafim and Davin Shaw were named 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Men's Soccer Scholar-Athletes, national officials announced on Friday.

355 student-athletes were named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete this season.

Shaw is receiving this honor for the second consecutive year. He was also named a Mid-South Conference Academic All-Conference member.

This is Serafim's first year receiving the NAIA Scholar-Athlete honor. He was also named an MSC Academic All-Conference honoree for his work in the classroom this season.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status. The awards are given annually to outstanding student-athletes in the various sports in which the program is active and their respective teams are eligible for NAIA postseason competition.

The Blue Raiders ended their season on Friday afternoon in a 2-1 overtime loss to Auburn (Ala.) University Montgomery in the NAIA National Championship Semifinal.
