COLUMBIA, Ky. -- During this time of the year, we often pause for a moment to give thanks.
The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team is not only giving thanks, but they are asking for help to make this holiday season bright for those less fortunate.
On Tuesday, when the Blue Raiders host Indiana-Southeast at Biggers Sports Center, the Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team asks its fans to bring non-perishable food items to the game for donation to the Adair County Food Pantry.
"We have so much to be thankful for as a team and individually," Lindsey Wilson women's basketball coach John B. Wethington said. "This is one small way that we can give back to the community that has always supported our program."
Food bins will be set up at the Biggers Sports Center entrance for those willing to donate. For those wanting to donate and unable to attend, fans can drop off the non-perishable food items at the athletic department anytime before Wednesday.
Tip-off for the Lindsey Wilson and Indiana-Southeast game is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT.
