DANVILLE, Ky. -- Katie Hartney and Ruth Olson-Jeffries combined to score 28 points to help the Lindsey Wilson women's track & field team to a seventh place finish today at the Centre (Ky.) Invitational.
Hartney recorded a second, third and fourth in three different throwing events for 19 points while Olson-Jeffries placed third in the 400-meter hurdles and sixth in the 100-meter hurdles for nine points.
The Blue Raiders posted 35 points as a team in the 12-team meet. Campbellsville (Ky.) won the meet with 186.5 points followed host Centre with 152.5 points.
Hartney placed second in the hammer throw with a distance of 38.79 meters. She added a third in the discus (34.24m) and fourth in the shot put (11.20m).
Olson-Jeffries was the top NAIA finisher in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:08.13. In the 100 hurdles, Olson-Jeffries crossed the line in 16.99 seconds.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Saturday, April 13 as the Blue Raiders travel to Williamsburg, Ky. for the Cumberlands Invitational.
