COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's tennis team is set for 22 matches in 2013, including three against NCAA Division I opponents, first year Blue Raider head coach Sachin Kirtane announced on Wednesday.
The first serve of 2013 is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT on Feb. 21 at Eastern Kentucky in Richmond, Ky. The meeting with the Colonels is the first of the NCAA Div. I matchups, which also include a trip to Austin Peay in Clarksville, Tenn., on March 3 and hosting Western Kentucky on March 31 at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
Mid-South Conference play starts early in the season with a match against UVa.-Wise at home on Feb. 23.
The longest trip of the year is a two-match venture to Hattiesburg, Miss., where Lindsey Wilson play Xavier (La.) on March 13 and William Carey (Miss.) on the 14th.
The season finale is set for April 10 at Southern Indiana in Evansville, Ind.
The 2013 MSC Championship is played from April 19-20 at the Boone Tennis Center in Lexington, Ky. The winner there receives an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship on May 14-18 at the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, Ala.
