COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College freshman Grace Korir has been named the Mid-South Conference women’s runner of the week, announced by the conference on Monday.

Korir finished 18th out of the 183 runners at the Southeastern Cross Country Classic in Nashville, Tenn., on Saturday. The Eldoret, Kenya, native, ran the 5,000-meter course in 19 minutes and 39 seconds.

Korir’s 18th place finish -- the best of any conference runner in the meet -- helped the Blue Raiders to a ninth-place finish.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 10:30 a.m. CT on Saturday, November 3, as the Blue Raiders return to Nashville for the Mid-South Conference / NAIA Region XI Championships.
