NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women’s cross country team finished ninth at the Southeastern Cross County Classic at Vaughn’s Gap Course in Percy Warner Park.
Lindsey Wilson finished the 22-team event with 226 points.
Blue Raider freshman Grace Korir finished with a team-best time of 19 minutes and 39 seconds over the 5,000-meter course. The Eldoret, Kenya, native, finished in 18th place.
Juniors Marie Coyon (19:51) and Cassie Niersel (20:21) finished in 25th and 33rd respectively, while sophomores Amanda Johnson (84th) and Monicah Maiyo (89th) crossed with times of 21:57 and 22:05.
Cedarville (Ohio) University won the team event with 27 points. Shawnee State (Ohio) University senior Lisa Davies won the individual portion of the race with a time of 18:31.
Lindsey Wilson completes the regular season with the Southeastern Classic. The Blue Raiders return to action on November 3 in the MSC / NAIA Region XI Championships in Johnson City, Tenn.
