Blue Raiders tip off on Nov. 2 at home against Mid-Continent (Ky.) in Biggers Sports Center.

2012-13 Schedule

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball team plays host to 14 home dates at Biggers Sports Center in 2012-13 according to head coach John B. Wethington who released this season's schedule on Wednesday afternoon.

In-state foe Mid-Continent kicks off the season at 5 p.m. CT on Nov. 2 at home, while the Blue Raiders travel to Campbellsville, Ky., the next day to face Miami-Middletown at the Powell Athletic Center.

Making it three games in three days, Lindsey Wilson plays its only exhibition contest at Purdue on Nov. 4 in West Lafayette, Ind. The Boilermakers finished 25-9 last season and advanced to the second round of the NCAA National Championship. The Blue Raiders last played Purdue in 2009, losing 74-39.

After the exhibition road trip, the Blue Raiders jump right into Mid-South Conference play, starting early on Nov. 15 and 17 against UVa.-Wise and Pikeville (Ky.), respectively in Biggers Sports Center.

The first conference road trip is against two fierce rivals, starting at Campbellsville on Nov. 20 and Georgetown (Ky.) College on Nov. 29.

Lindsey Wilson will test itself outside of the MSC with a road trip to Cleveland, Tenn., on Dec. 8 to face Lee University.

Lee is one of five opponents on the schedule that finished 2011-12 ranked in the Postseason NAIA Coaches' Top-25 Poll. Included in the five are four conference opponents, led by Shawnee State (Ohio) at No. 6 and Cumberlands (Ky.) ranked eighth.

Georgetown jumped up to No. 11 in the poll after a surprise run to the NAIA Fab Four in Frankfort, Ky., while Campbellsville was the last team included at No. 25. Lee was ranked 10th in the final poll.

The MSC Tournament is slated for Feb. 28-March 3 at the Frankfort Convention Center in Frankfort, Ky., while the NAIA National Championship returns to Frankfort as well on March 13-19.
