COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Harlan County High School product David Lee from Baxter, Ky., signed an NAIA Scholarship to join the Lindsey Wilson College men's track & field team for the 2012-13 season, Blue Raider head coach Edwin Hagans announced on Thursday.

Lee competed at the Kentucky State Track Meet last season where he turned in a pair of top-20 finishes.

David finished 19th in the 800-meter run with a time of two minutes and 10.5 seconds and 20th in the 1,600 after crossing the finish line in 4:49.52. His time in the 1,600 was a personal season best.

Prior to the state competition, Lee impressed at the Seventh Region meet where he turned in a pair of second-place finishes in the same two events.

Lee's regional 800 time was 2:11.24 with a time of 4:52.29 in the 1,600.

The long-distance specialist Lee was a three time qualifier for the Kentucky State Track Meet.
