Lindsey Wilson sets the President's Cup record for most points and margin of victory.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- For the second time since joining the Mid-South Conference, the Lindsey Wilson College athletics department owns the MSC President's Cup, conference officials announced on Wednesday.

The Blue Raiders scored 115.5 points out of a possible 120 points during the 2011-12 academic year to capture the conference's all-sports trophy. University of the Cumberlands finished second with 103.5 points while Campbellsville University ended with 103 points.

"I'm very proud of our student-athletes and our coaches for all of their hard work throughout the year," Lindsey Wilson athletics director Willis Pooler said. "Winning the President's Cup is an outstanding accomplishment that takes a comprehensive effort not only from our student-athletes and our coaches but also from the administration and athletic department staff.

"I would like to congratulate everyone at Lindsey Wilson on this excellent achievement."

Lindsey Wilson's 115.5 points is the most in the President's Cup history eclipsing Campbellsville's 111.5 points in 2010-11. The 12-point margin is also a Cup record.

Points are awarded based on the final regular season standings for each conference-sanctioned sport. The regular season champion in each sport receives 10 points; second place receives nine points, etc. At the conclusion of the academic year, the top six male and top six female team finishes for each institution generates the institution's overall totals.

Lindsey Wilson scored the maximum amount of points in 10 sports.

The Blue Raiders captured regular season titles in baseball, men's basketball, softball, men's soccer, women's soccer, men's tennis, women's tennis and volleyball while being the top full-member program at the men's track & field championships. Lindsey Wilson shared the regular season title -- amassing 9.5 points -- in wrestling.

The remaining institutions who scored in the President's Cup includes: Georgetown College (98.5 points), Shawnee State University (82.5), University of Rio Grande (64.5), St. Catharine College (63), University of Pikeville (58.5) and University of Virginia's College at Wise (55.5). West Virginia University Tech was not eligible this season for regular season championships.

Lindsey Wilson also won the President's Cup during the 2006-07 season.
